Anne Hathaway Pens An Emotional Note Promoting Locked Down
Hollywood star Anne Hathaway took to her social media and dropped a stunning new poster of her forthcoming movie, Locked Down, pens a heartfelt note, addressing the current political and pandemic crisis in America.
Locked Down is a romantic comedy heist drama directed by Doug Liman and written by Steven Knight. The film stars Anne Hathaway, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Stephen Merchant, Mindy Kaling, Lucy Boynton, Dulé Hill, Jazmyn Simon, with Ben Stiller, and Ben Kingsley
The film revolves around a couple, who just decide to separate, Linda (Anne Hathaway) and Paxton (Chiwetel Ejiofor) but finds that life has other plans when they are stuck at home in a mandatory lockdown. Co-habitation is proving to be a challenge, but fueled by poetry and copious amounts of wine, it will bring them closer together in the most surprising way.
Anne Hathaway shared the poster on her social media and wrote, “It feels strange to be promoting a movie – a comedy no less – during such unprecedented times…please know I am reeling from the events of the last week just as you are. Just like you, I am trying to process what happened on top trying to find some kind of firm emotional footing in the quicksand of this pandemic”
“Interestingly, one theme Chiwetel and I kept coming back to while making our film Locked Down was how it is about two lost and messy humans finding the steel needed to fight for joy in their lives, even in the madness of the current moment. I think we all feel a bit of that right now…So that said, I hope my posting this is seen in the light of the age-old tradition that “the show must go on.” I also hope this film offers some relief by making you laugh and feel less alone during a time of so much pain and loss. #LockedDownFilm begins streaming on @HBOMax #Jan14” read the full note.
The film streams from 14th January 2021.
