Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux announced separation. Jennifer Aniston and Brad Pitt was one couple we always looked up to. Brad found love in his Mr. and Mrs. Smith co-star Angelina Jolie and left Jennifer.

As fate had it, Jennifer too got lucky in love for the second time with Justin Theroux. However, the couple who tied the knot in 2015, recently announced separation after two and a half years of marriage.

The couple, on Thursday, in a statement to The Associated Press released through a publicist, said that the decision to split “was mutual and lovingly made at the end of last year.” They also added that they are making the announcement publicly “in an effort to reduce any further speculation.”

interestingly, Jennifer’s ex-husband Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie split up in 2016. Their divorce is being dealt with in private court and Pitt is currently single. With both Jen and Brad single, fans are secretly hoping the two reconcile and get back together.

“Normally we would do this privately, but given that the gossip industry cannot resist an opportunity to speculate and invent, we wanted to convey the truth directly,”

The Associated Press quoted the duo as said in the statement released by Aniston’s longtime publicist, Stephen Huvane. “Whatever else is printed about us that is not directly from us, is someone else’s fictional narrative.

Above all, we are determined to maintain the deep respect and love that we have for one another, They said they are “two best friends who have decided to part ways as a couple but look forward to continuing our cherished friendship.”

Jennifer and Justin first met in Hawaii in 2008 when Aniston was holidaying and Theroux was shooting Tropic Thunder.

They again met later on the set of the comedy movie, Wanderlust, and cupid worked its magic on the two. The lovebirds went public with their relationship for the first time at an MTV Movie Awards after-party in 2011 and announced their engagement the following year.

The announcement of their split comes just a few days after Aniston celebrated her 49th birthday. Her former Friends co-star, Courteney Cox, turned host for the party at her home in Malibu while Justin was missing from the girls-only celebration.
