Karan Johar loves Nayanthara’s Gun-In Kadhal

Karan Johar loves Nayanthara’s Gun-In Kadhal. Nayanthara’s movie Kolamaavu Kokila has received good response from the audience and has worked wonders at the box office too. Now, the actor’s promotional video titled Gun-in Kadhal featuring the music composer Anirudh, has intrigued none other than Bollywood director-producer Karan Johar.

Karan took to Twitter to appreciate the song and said that he would love to catch the film. He tweeted, “Tempted more to watch the current blockbuster frm south #KolamaavuKokila after watchin this uber cool Song video Feat. #Nayanthara & @anirudhofficial. Shot by RaviVarman&directed by @VigneshShivN.”

Karan Johar on Saturday announced the next season of his popular celebrity chat show Koffee with Karan. The controversial chat show had Kangana Ranaut tagging Karan, the host of the show, as the ‘flagbearer of nepotism’ in a a recent season.

One of the highlights of the movie is the music composed by Anirudh Ravichander. This music video is to promote Kolamaavu Kokila that is led by Nayanthara and also starring Yogi Babu, Saranya Ponvannan and Jacqueline. The film is about a girl from a lower middle-class family taking an illegal route to earn money for her mother’s medical treatment. The black-comedy is directed by Nelson.

Director Nelson has managed the right play of emotions by underlining certain scenes and being subtle about others. For instance, this film has an iconic scene where Yogi Babu’s Sekhar proposes to Nayanthara’s Kokila. As Anirudh’s music plays in the background, we are shown how Sekhar fell in love with Kokila. When he finally confesses his feeling to her, Kokila simply says that her parents might get a heart attack on hearing this and asks him to keep his emotions to himself. The straight face with which Nayanthara shuts him down is the most memorable part of their encounter.

Karan Johar has also announced his next directorial after Ae Dil Hai Mushkil. He will be directing a period film with Ranveer Singh playing the lead role alongside Kareena Kapoor Khan, Alia Bhatt, Janhvi Kapoor, Anil Kapoor and Bhumi Pednekar. Karan is also producing a number of films including Kalank, which again stars Alia Bhatt in the lead role opposite Varun Dhawan.
