Lucy Pargeter has breast implants removed after suffering breathing problems
Lucy Pargeter has had her breast implants removed after they left her with health problems. The actress, who plays Chas Dingle in the ITV soap, says her enhanced DD boobs caused her to suffer from breathing problems for 11 years.
The 42-year-old dubbed her implants “toxic bags” and said she couldn’t wait to get them out of her body. She told: “They are out. I’m as flat as a pancake, I look awful but feel good.
The star said her surgery went “absolutely fine” but that both her breast implants were “encapsulated” and “deformed”.
She said she knows that her symptoms are going to be better now that she’s had them taken out.
Lucy, who had two boob jobs at age 21 and 32, says having implants also gave her joint pain, anxiety, and rashes on her chest, as well as pain in her chest and armpits.
“When I woke up in recovery, the first thing I did was panic because I could breathe – I could take in a massive breath.
“I thought they were trying to give me too much oxygen – I panicked. I forgot what it was like to have a full lung of air. I mean, it’s amazing – I can breathe.”
Lucy is set to feature in a new Dispatches documentary on Channel 4, which will investigate women who claim their breast implants are impacting their health.
Lucy recently split from her longterm boyfriend Rudi Coleano. The have three daughters – Lola, born in 2005, and twins Missy and Betsey, born in 2017. The couple had been engaged for 12 years but never got around to marrying.
