Manikya Malaraya Poovi song copied from Kidu movie, look PROOF! She came. She winked. She conquered. Within a matter of few hours,

Malayalam actress Priya Prakash Varrier became internet’s favourite muse after they saw her winking at her school crush (Roshan Abdul) in the viral Manikya Malaraya Poovi song from her upcoming debut vehicle Oru Adaar Love.

The video clip went viral and Priya Prakash’s following on the photo-sharing portal Instagram escalated from a few hundred to over 4 million within days of the song and teaser’s release.

Besides, the 18-year-old dominated headlines, trends chart, exploded social media and even enjoyed a slot on primetime shows. Besides, the teenagers also landed in a legal soup after the lyrics of her song ‘hurt religious sentiments’ of a group of Muslims in Hyderabad.

While the Supreme Court’s verdict on Priya’s case is out, the song has managed to spark yet another controversy. Meanwhile, the Supreme Court has stayed the criminal action against Priya Prakash’s plea seeking to quash the FIR lodged against her and her team.

The makers of forthcoming Malayalam film Kidu dropped a DI clip of from their project and the particular is set against the same backdrop as Omar Lulu’s Oru Adaar Love.

In fact, the sequence looks strikingly similar as a teenage couple converse through facial expressions and smiles which will instantly remind of Priya and Roshan’s cute banter in Manikya Malaraya Poovi.

The uncanny resemblance gave rise to speculations that Majeed Abu, director of Kidu, had copied the scene from Omar Lulu’s film. However, producer Sabu PK , in a video message, clarified that the shooting and editing for his film was completed way before Oru Adaar Love.

While the producer rules out the possibility of copying the act, it makes us wonder if it is actually the other way round?

“After watching the song from my film Kidu, many have been saying that it has been copied from Oru Adaar Love. It’s not right,” Sabu asserted in the video he shared on his Facebook account.

“Achu Vijayan is the editor of Kidu and Oru Adaar Love. My film shooting was completed on November 25 (2017) and in January first week, the editing was done,” he said.

“It is only after finishing our film, Achu Vijayan started to work on Oru Adaar Love. That song was also shot after this. So we are the ones who should accuse them (Oru Adaar Love filmmakers) of copying it from us.

We don’t have any intentions of copying from others,” said Sabu. He also added, “Many asked me why I didn’t take action? I don’t want that. We don’t want to make a big issue because out of this. There could be some similarities between the two films. Even our life is like that we have so many similarities with others.
