Mimi Chakraborty reportedly harassed by a taxi driver

Bengali film actress Mimi Chakraborty, who is set to be seen as ‘Mahishasuramardini’, in a Mahalaya special show, was reportedly harassed by a taxi driver. She was in her car when the said taxi driver reportedly came out of his vehicle and made some nasty comments.

A leading TV actress was molested by an app-cab driver. She was reportedly taken into the wrong direction by the driver. The actress contacted her father somehow, who later saved her. The actress had also filed a complaint and the accused was arrested.

The incident took place on Monday night near Ballygunge Phari area. The taxi driver, reportedly made some lewd comments on the actress and MP.

Mimi Chakraborty protested and later, filed a police complaint in Gariahat police station. The police has already arrested the taxi driver based on the complaint.

The incident has left the citizens shocked. The safety of women in the city has raised question once again. This is not the first time a celebrity has been harassed in Kolkata. Prior to this Ushosi Sengupta’s driver was harassed by some young bikers. When she tried to save him, Ushosi was also harassed.

Actress Mimi Chakraborty, who is the leading lady of Tollywood, will soon be seen as Mahishasuramardini in Mahalaya special show. The actress has already shot for the special show which is being directed by filmmaker Kamaleshwar. The show will feature actor Jeetu Kamal as Ram and Madhumita Sarcar as Sita.
