Shocking Details Revealed About North Korea’s “Pleasure Squad”

Yeonmi Park, a defector from North Korea, recently revealed disturbing details about a group known as the “Pleasure Squad” that serves the country’s leader, Kim Jong-un. According to Park, 25 young girls are selected each year based on their appearance, family and political backgrounds, and virginity, to cater to Kim Jong-un’s personal desires. This information was shared in an interview with the Daily Star.

The selection process involves scrutinizing potential candidates extensively, starting from school visits to check for desirable candidates. Those who have any family connections to defectors or South Korea are automatically disqualified. The selected few undergo medical examinations to confirm their virginity, and any minor imperfections can lead to their rejection.

Once selected, these girls are taken to Pyongyang, where their primary role is to serve the whims of the dictator. Park disclosed that this practice was initiated in the 1970s by Kim Jong-un’s father, Kim Jong-il, under the belief that intimacy with young girls could prolong life. The ideology was so entrenched that Kim Jong-il continued the tradition, hoping it would help him achieve immortality; however, he died at age 70.

Over the years, the “Pleasure Squad” has evolved to match the preferences of each ruling Kim. According to Park, the squad is divided into groups specializing in different tasks such as massages, entertainment, and more intimate duties. Despite the potential benefits in a country struggling with poverty, such as securing a means of survival, the squad members’ service ends as they reach their mid-twenties, often resulting in marriages arranged with Kim Jong-un’s bodyguards.

Park’s revelations shed light on the oppressive and exploitative practices under the North Korean regime, characterized by a disturbing misuse of power to satisfy personal and political agendas.
