Ohemaa Mercy says I Do Not Allow Sex During Fasting Periods

Ohemaa Mercy thinks it’s ungodly to have sex as a Christian during fasting periods. According to her, because she is a gospel musician, her husband understands her calling, hence he would agree if she is to abstain from going intimate for a while.

Ohemaa Mercy made the comment while speaking on Hitz FM. When Andy Dosty asked how she gets under the sheets with her spouse during those fasting periods, she hesitated to answer.

But, Ohemaa Mercy eventually said, “For me, my husband understands my ministry and there is time for everything. We do fast together, so if it’s 30 days, we would both wait and do what we have to after.”

Ohemaa Mercy is currently fasting ahead of her annual Tehillah Experience show, which is set to take place at the ICGC Calvary Church Temple at Spintex on August 11, 2019.

The event is one of the biggest gospel concerts on Ghana’s entertainment calendar. To make it a typical spiritual event, Ohemaa and her team always organise fasting and prayers ahead of the event.

Ohemaa Mercy has also revealed in an interview why she had to stop her teaching job to pursue the music career which has brought her good name and riches.

Tagged as one of the most inspiring and cherished gospel musicians in the country, Ohemaa in a chat with Andy Dosty on Hitz FM’s Daybreak Hitz revealed that she had to sacrifice her teaching career for her music ministry.
