Soundarya Rajinikanth marriage with Vishagan | Wedding reception photos

Soundarya Rajinikanth and Vishagan Vanangamudi wedding ceremonies are about to kick in. Prior to that, photos from the couple’s new photoshoot have arrived and the two look like they’re a match made in heaven.

The festivities will begin in Chennai tomorrow, i.e. February 9 and the two will be tying the knot on Monday, February 11. Superstar Rajinikanth’s younger daughter Soundarya is a filmmaker by profession and will be getting hitched to actor-cum-businessman Vishagan Vanangamudi.

The Vanjagar Ulagam actor also owns a pharmaceutical company named Apex Laboratories Pvt. Ltd. Soundarya is a mother to 3-year-old Ved. Her first marriage to businessman R Ashwin couldn’t work out. Vishagan is also a divorcee and was earlier married to magazine editor Kanikha Kumaran.

In the pictures, Soundarya is seen wearing gold and black silk saree, while the groom has donned a silk shirt and traditional dhoti. Rajini has sported white kurta-pyjama. Latha and Aishwarya, the wife and elder daughter of Rajinikanth, have donned green Kanjivaram sarees.

Soundarya was earlier married to industrialist Ashwin Ramkumar. Their seven-year marriage ended in 2017 with a divorce. She has a five-year-old son from her first marriage.

Like Soundarya, Vishagan Vanangamudi had also ended his first marriage. He made his acting debut in Manoj Beedha’s Vanjagar Ulagam and was part of a few movies in small roles. Reports say that he was the first choice to play the lead in Sigappu Rojakkal 2.

On the work front, Soundarya Rajinikanth had last directed Velaiilla Pattadhari 2 aka VIP 2 in 2017 which starred her brother-in-law Dhanush and Bollywood diva Kajol.

She would reportedly be producing Ponniyin Selva, expected to release later this year. She had made her directorial debut with the 2014 movie Kochadaiiyaan and has been a graphic designer for many Tamil movies.
