‘To play Palak in the show Tandoor was very disturbing for me’, Rashami Desai

Rashami Desai is all set for her web debut with the show ‘Tandoor‘ which will stream on Ullu App from 23 July. Show stars Rashami and Tanuj Virwani in lead role. The show is loosely inspired from the infamous 1995 real life incident in Delhi where a wife was allegedly killed by her politician husband.

Rashami who will be seen playing the role of Palak in the show spoke to News Helpline about the show and much more. Talking about why she chose the show, she said,” People have seen me playing various characters on television. As an actor you want to grow. When I heard the script, I found it very interesting. People are relating it to the tandoor case of 1995 but it is not the same. We have just picked up the topic from there. “

She further said,”As an actor you always concentrate on your character.For the first time I found script was more important. Each character was very important. “

What criteria she opts for choosing any project, talking about this she said, “For me script and director are very important. First of all the script has to be really good and next comes the director who is the only person who exactly knows what to portray on screen. Apart from these two, if you get good actors, that is a bonus. I was lucky to have Tanuj and Amit as my co actors in the show. “

Sharing her experience playing the role of Palak, she said, “I had not known about this case. When I was offered the show, I started reading articles about it. I was so disturbed to read all of that. Someone you love can do this to you is really unacceptable. To play Palak in the show Tandoor was very disturbing for me.“

The show Tandoor is all set to premiere on Ullu App on July 23.
